Dollywood - Wild Eagle TEST RUN
Video footage has emerged online of Dollywood’s new roller coaster for the 2012 season, Wild Eagle, undergoing one of its first test runs. Wild Eagle will become the first B&M Wing Rider coaster to open in the states when it debuts on March 24, 2012. Guests will be seated on “wings” on either side of the ride’s trains, with the experience designed to recreate the sensation of soaring through the skies like a bald eagle. As they traverse Wild Eagle’s 3,127-feet-long course, riders will hit a top speed of 61 miles per hour. A number of inversions feature in the coaster’s circuit, including a giant loop, a “zero-G” roll and a giant flat spin. The ride will hit its top speed at the foot of the 135-feet-tall first drop.
