Disneyland has revealed further details of its “One More Disney Day” promotion, which will see the park stay open for 24 hours on February 29, 2012.
The park, along with Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom in Florida, will open at 6am on the morning of the “leap day”, closing at 6am the next day. The Orange County Register reports that the guests will be allowed to queue for up to 8 hours beforehand in order to get into Disneyland, with the first 2,000 receiving a special, limited-edition pair of Mickey Mouse ears.
Those who decide to join the queue as early as possible will be able to park in the Pumba Parking Lot from 10pm on February 28. They will be asked queue in the esplanade area that sits between Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, although they will have to leave briefly at 4.30am to allow security checks to take place. Color-coded armbands will be used to enable guests to retain their place in line.
Disney is giving away one vacation package every day during the period leading up to the leap day. Details of how to enter the prize draws can be found at disney.go.com/memories. Entrants must be residents of the USA or Canada (excluding Quebec), and be aged 18 or over.
