Disneyland California - Mad Arcade replaces Flynn’s Arcade

Disney has revealed that a new arcade featuring interactive games will be installed alongside the Mad T Party show at Disney California Adventure in June 2012.

The Mad Arcade with replace the former Flynn’s Arcade attraction that accompanied the Tron Legacy-inspired ElecTRONica, which the Mad T Party will replace on June 15. It will contain a variety of arcade-style games, all themed around Tim Burton’s version of Alice in Wonderland.

The games will include “Cheshire Cat Smile Smash”, which will involve knocking down the teeth of the famous cat. Also on offer will be shooting hoop game “The Queen of Hearts’ Royal Court”, and the ominously-titled “Bandersnatch Ball”.

The Mad T Party show will feature a live band, dancing and audience-participation games. It will use the same styling as the Burton film, with vivid colors and unusual costumes.

Disney has confirmed that the Alice in Wonderland-themed Mad T Party dance show will debut at Disney California Adventure on June 15, 2012.

The show will open on the same day as the long-awaited Cars Land expansion, as well as Disney California Adventure’s new Buena Vista Street entrance area. It will replace the Tron Legacy-inspired ElecTRONica, the last performance of which is due to take place on April 15.

Mad T Party will be set in the world of Tim Burton’s version of Alice in Wonderland, and will feature a live band,dancing and audience-participation games. It will use the same styling as the Burton film, with vivid colors and unusual costumes.

Characters included in the Mad T Party show will include the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, Dormouse, Caterpillar and the Cheshire Cat. Alice herself will also make an appearance, while the White Rabbit DJ will be in charge of the soundtrack. The characters are set to meet-and-greet guests throughout the day.

Disneyland Paris - Magical Moments Festival.

Over the last few days guests at Disneyland Resort Paris have seen numerous photo locations pop up across the park, well today was no different with the arrival of Alice in Wonderland’s Mad Hatter Tea Party which is now located over by the hedge maze attraction. The video embedded above shows a brief look at the extended table with multiple photo opportunities, this includes the red queens throne and a chair which holds the Mad Hatter’s hat above. 

Similarly in Adventure Land an Aladdin photo opportunity has just risen from the ground, consisting of a market back drop and the magic lamp out front, it is rumoured that both Aladdin and Jasmine will appear here throughout the festival and possibly even the Genie from time to time.

The new Magical Moments Festival is shaping up to give Paris the strong year it currently needs!
