Thorpe Park - The Swarm Construction Update

Here is the first update of 2012 relating to The Swarm at Thorpe Park which is making rapid progress, considering the opening isn’t until mid March 2012 it seems that Merlin are probably ahead of schedule! The theme is incredible, the head chopper elements are the best I have seen and the attention to detail in the destroyed church is beyond what I expected.

The Swarm (Double Update Part One!) - Thorpe Park

I am very excited to post a double batch of construction photos from the one and only SWARM over at Thorpe Park (photos courtesy of the Thorpe Park official Facebook page). The rollercoaster is making fantastic progress with the destroyed church looking almost halfway complete!

The engineers are also now doing the first run through with a tester to ensure that the train fits smoothly through all the tight head chopping moments.

I literally cannot wait to experience this, it will be world class I am sure!
