On 12th April 2012 Disneyland Paris celebrated it’s 20th Anniversary with a selection of magical surprises for guests visiting the Disneyland Park. Main Street USA Celebrates! was one of the themed land shows which took place around the park. Check out this one off event above…amazing!

Any UK Disney fans will know that ‘Making the Magic’ was on Channel 5 this morning, giving a behind the scenes view of Disneyland Paris’ 20th Anniversary! Check it out on 5Demand if you missed it!

Disneyland Paris - 20th Anniversary Flash Mob

Disneyland Paris celebrated it’s 20th Anniversary today with a celebration of events and activities throughout Disneyland Paris. Not only did Mary Poppins & Duffy celebrate on Main Street USA, but Mickey & Minnie even celebrated in Fantasyland with spontaneous but magical celebration shows. However, the big event for me was when guests who were at the park for opening time were treated to a spectacular event, a flash mob.

This, however, was one spectacular Flash Mob with a sea of cast members young and old dancing to “Magic Everywhere” on Main Street USA, followed by all your favourite Disney characters running down the purple carpet, laid especially for the event, to greet guests! It wouldn’t be Disney if it wasn’t that extra special, so they invited along the French Royal Air Force to decorate the sky and even make a silhouette of the infamous Mickey Ears!

The roar of cheering at the end of this video is absolutely fantastic and the happiness is such a joy to see throughout the park. Guests were then invited to walk down the purple carpet and make their way into the park, being greeted by hundreds of cast members from all over the world.

What a spectacular way to celebrate 20 years of magic! 

Disneyland California - Soundsational Parade 

I recently decided to branch out on the blog front and begin creating some videos from park footage that I have gathered from recent trips, and the video embedded above is my first ever attempt (so I apologise for the poor quality filming).

I took this footage when I recently visited Disneyland California for the first time in August 2011. This parade has to be my favourite…

Disneyland Paris - Disney Dreams!

Check out the fantastic new promotional images released by Disneyland Paris for Disney Dreams. The new images and press release have revealed some more information to the press and guests wanting to visit over the next year.

Disneyland have described the new nighttime show in their press released as “An explosion of lights and colours”.

It will include:

• A real life fairytale

“Guided by Peter Pan, visitors rediscover the most memorable Disney stories, from Beauty and the Beast to The Hunchback of Notre Dame, not forgetting Tangled and many more still.”

• Revolutionary special effects

“Disney Imagineers have worked many months to develop a nighttime spectacular unique in its field which will move young and old. New special effects have been specially developed to create brand new illusions and transform Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant. This world premiere will combine dazzling lasers, spectacular jets of water and truly incredible pyrotechnic effects to culminate with a spellbinding grand finale.

Water takes centre stage in the show, with new fountains installed all around Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant. Some of those fountains are powerful enough that the jets of water climb many metres high! Elsewhere, Disney characters will take life on the façade of Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant and on two water screens located either side. These screens, completely unique, will project animations bringing to life your favourite Disney characters. The water comes to life like magic thanks to wonderful, shimmering colours.

As well as all these incredible effects, the creative teams have decided to combine jaw-dropping pyrotechnic effects. Fire will shot up from either side of Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant, given a truly blazing effect itself. I literally cannot wait to see this show at Disneyland Paris’ 20th Anniversary!
