Disney World’s Epcot - 30th Anniversary Merch
Disney World recently announced the big events coming up for Epcot’s 30th Anniversary, and now they have finally released some new images of the EXCLUSIVE 30th Anniversary merchandise that will be on sale only during this event in October.
I have to admit that I am loving the selection of retro t-shirts and the choice of limited edition pins, the jumbo sized stained glass pin is definitely worthy of a purchase!!
Disneyland Paris - World of Disney Store GRAND OPENING
World of Disney has long been a premiere shopping destination at Disney Parks. The first location opened in 1996 at Downtown Disney Marketplace in Florida. The second opened in 2001 at Downtown Disney District in California. There was even a World of Disney that operated on 5th Avenue in New York City during the middle part of this past decade. On July 12, our newest store officially opened at Disneyland Paris as part of their 20th anniversary celebrations.

Disneyland Paris - Val d’Europe Store CLOSES

This week marks the final farewell to the only Disney Store off the official Disneyland Paris resort…over at Val D’Europe. The one off that was the ‘Rendez-Vous Disney’ store over in Val d’Europe has now officially closed its doors after just over eleven years of trading. It will be replaced by an expanded Oxybul “play and discovery” toy store, which already has a unit next door. Located in the Centre Commercial at the heart of the Disney-planned town within the resort’s boundaries, the store was operated by Euro Disney SCA alongside the other park, Village and hotel boutiques with Disney Cast Members and a select range of resort merchandise comprising clothing, toys, homewares and general souvenirs.
This store was one of the first Disney stores seen before reaching Disneyland Resort Paris, but it seems that executives think that there are enough stores at the Parks and Disney Village to cope. Original features included a large video wall and four projected clocks, showing the time in the then four Disney resorts around the world. The store appeared to see little subsequent investment in updates in the years that followed, and likely became unjustifiable as Disney cut its ties with the mall, especially with the vast array of stores just a kilometre or so away at the resort itself.
Disneyland Paris - 20th Anniversary Merchandise

In an unsuspected move by the Disneyland Paris resort team, a holding page has appeared on both the UK and French versions of the online Disney Store stating the following:
“From April 1, 2012, Disneyland Paris invites its guests to celebrate its 20th anniversary, in sparkling and magical style. Lots of surprises and new features have been imagined, to provide an explosion of magic, lights and colour. For all of us who love shopping in Disney style, there will be great new Park exclusive products: T-shirts, mugs, toys, collectibles, clothing, hats and souvenirs… Stay tuned and sign up for our emails to be the first to know about the brand new 20th anniversary Disneyland Paris product range.”
Offering Disneyland Paris park merchandise on both online stores is something that the resort has never experimented with but it will certainly give a sales boost for both the park and online stores…plus it enables all the hardcore fans the chance to grab some merchandise before they visit!
Great move Disney!
Disney Parks - Retro D-Tech Merchandise
Yesterday Disney Parks Blog announced the introduction of some brand new Retro D-Tech merchandise that is due to hit all the global parks from February 2012. The new merchandise has been introduced to incorporate the history behind Walt Disney World and it’s 40th Anniversary logo.
There will be three cases introduced next year for laptops, tablets and mobile phones. Catch them while you can! I want one for my iPad!!
Walt Disney World - Lion King Merchandise
To celebrate the release of the Disney Classic, The Lion King, on Blu Ray and DVD this month, Walt Disney World has FILLED it’s stores with mountains of Lion King Merchandise. The above Mickey Ear-Hat is just one of many new items available for a limited period. If I was visiting WDW right now, I would purchase one of these amazing hats, Lion King being one of my favourite films!!
Disney Parks - Halloween Merchandise
The Halloween merchandise has sprung up at Disney parks across the world this past weekend, with the spooky celebrations set to be in full swing my the close of the week! Make sure you head down to the parks this weekend to catch it while you can!!
Phineas and Ferb Merchandise - Walt Disney World
Over the next two months a brand new range of Phineas and Ferb merchandise will be rolled out across the Disney World parks in celebration of their brand new movie which will debut on the Disney Channel (USA) on 2nd August 2011.
